WordPress Website Developer

Key responsibilities of the position

  • Receive initial brief from designer to establish design and technical parameters for working structure
  • Develop site templates and themes in line with budget and brief, test to QA criteria
  • Develop site in WordPress, ensuring the build is in line with signed off designs and functionality
  • Develop bespoke functionality for WordPress websites
  • Providing reactive and proactive support for client websites with support contracts
  • Hosting and domain name validation, pre-live QA, uploading of site, Go live and post Live QA
  • React promptly to website bugs, additional feature requests, server and security issues
  • On-going research to improve efficiency and quality of projects
  • Liaison with clients, designers, and search engine marketing team, coordinate projects through from development to go-live
  • Remain current with new technologies to ensure the business stays ahead
  • Improve web development processes, strategies and QA procedures
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving for issues with client websites and hosting
  • Implement and advise recommendations based on SEO reports

  • IT or web-related degree or previous web developer experience
  • Previous Agency experience
