Public Relations Manager

Established in 2000, ExtraMile Communications is a digital marketing agency that specialises in multilingual and single language bespoke website design and also offers email marketing, graphic design, branding and SEO. Our team of 19, mixes a broad range of ages.

Summary and key responsibilities of position:

  • Create a PR year plan for ExtraMile in line with the agreed Sales and Marketing strategy
  • Promote ExtraMile’s London presence
  • Promote our company culture and its multi-lingual differentiator
  • Write press releases for ExtraMile and joint projects with our clients
  • Write case studies to promote ExtraMile’s work
  • Produce client and employee case studies for use in a variety of media
  • Organise promotional events for us or in partnership with our clients
  • Generate content on any new products or services we create
  • Publish news items on our website
  • Develop and submit awards submissions on the company’s behalf, working with all stakeholders in the company
  • Work closely with the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) team to coordinate press releases and social media campaigns
  • Establish and maintain PR connections both locally and nationally
  • Handle media enquiries from the public, the press or our clients
  • Analyse our media coverage both on and offline
  • Produce weekly PR reports for the directors and other stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with Public Relations best practice
  • Co-ordinate market intelligence to help inform strategy, drawing it in from key stakeholders
  • Carry out market research to support the PR strategy
  • Work with the design team to write a variety of media for publicity

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Grow media relationships
  • Promote ExtraMile by emphasising its longevity, credibility, creativity and expertise
  • Promote our clients showcasing the work we have carried out for them
  • Develop the PR department to become an equal product offering for ExtraMile to rival our web development, multi-lingual email marketing and SEM departments

Qualifications & Training


  • Public Relations, Communications and Media or Marketing Degree
  • Minimum 3 years previous Public Relations and Marketing experience. English degree


  • Associate or member of the CIPR, CIM Accredited, IDDM Member



  • Public Relations: 3 years (Required)
  • Writing and submitting editorials
  • Creating a PR plan
  • Liaising with the media
  • Client liaison
