Digital Designer

We are recruiting for a Digital Designer who will play a vital role in the growth of the company.

Established in 2000, ExtraMile Communications is a digital marketing agency that specialises in multilingual and single language bespoke website design and also offers email marketing, graphic design, branding and SEO. Our team of 19, mixes a broad range of ages.

Summary and key responsibilities of position

  • Work closely with the Creative Manager and design team in the production of design projects.
  • Take briefs from the Sales team and create a range of cross-platform design work.
  • Work collaboratively with designers, developers and other departments to deliver projects of the highest quality.
  • Articulate and present creative solutions to teams and clients.
  • Meet with clients and attentively listen, engage and ascertain their requirements.
  • Ensure all design work is created to budget, brief and with a strong drive towards innovation.
  • Stay on track with digital design trends and culture, attend events and engage with the wider creative community.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand initial brief
  • Meet with the client and discuss design and development
  • Work with a range of media and design software
  • Liaise with development and external suppliers
  • Produce design concepts and seek client approval
  • Liaise with Project Manager
  • Finalise approved design work
  • Complete development handover

  • Design related experience

Desirable

  • Any web design or development training
  • Design degree

  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing work in a multitude of different disciplines
  • Proven understanding of typography, layout, colour and grid structures

  • Print design and liaising with printers
