Creative Designer

Established in 2000, ExtraMile Communications is a digital marketing agency that specialises in multilingual and single language bespoke website design and also offers email marketing, graphic design, branding and SEO. Our team of 19, mixes a broad range of ages.

Summary and key responsibilities of position:

  • Work closely with the Creative Manager and design team in the production and management of creative design projects
  • Take briefs from the team and create a range of cross-platform design work
  • Work collaboratively with designers, developers and other departments to deliver projects of the highest quality
  • Articulate and present creative design solutions to teams and clients
  • Meet with clients and listen, engage with and understand their requirements
  • Ensure all design work is created to budget, brief and with a strong drive towards innovation and creativity
  • Stay on track with digital design trends and culture, attend events and engage with the wider creative community
  • Coordinate and liaise with external suppliers, such as printers, on the production and completion of creative design projects

Qualifications & Training


  • 2 years design related experience
  • Design degree Desirable


  • Any web design or development training



  • Marketing/design agency experience
  • An exceptional portfolio showcasing work in a multitude of disciplines
  • Creating cross-platform design work, such as print design, marketing collateral, web/digital design, etc.
  • Ability to design for the web
  • Knowledge of responsive design
  • Proven understanding of typography, layout, colour and grid structures 


  • Brand identity design
  • Illustration

Product Knowledge


  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge


  • Understandings and experience in CMS platforms, such as WordPress
  • Experience using a Mac
  • Experience using Sketch and/or other design platforms
