Origins

How we began

ExtraMile began in the year 2000 – in two back bedrooms, in Surrey – offering digital research facilities to the government and its agencies within the education sector. After 2 years in Surrey, the founders decided to up sticks to Staffordshire, and as the digital market surged, so did the company, reflected in our portfolio with exciting partnerships and growth. ExtraMile rapidly became one of the most prestigious digital marketing providers within the West Midlands, and after expanding operations into London, has its sights set on recognition throughout the UK and beyond.

The team

Business prospers because of the team driving it. We work hard to attract, retain and develop a happy, creative and highly skilled team who are committed to being at the forefront of the latest digital technologies, providing innovative and engaging web marketing strategies. Some of us are young and some not so, but we all work with common cause – to build our clients’ businesses, to develop ourselves and to have fun!

The team at ExtraMile works as a family unit – supporting and caring for each other, challenging work practices, improving quality and developing skills. That family culture is important to the company’s success and is one of the reasons that potential new recruits seek us out.

As individuals, we all work differently, but collectively we come together brilliantly in our bright, airy and fluid office space, based in Stone. This engaging workspace fosters collaboration and communication, encouraging discussion and problem-solving. A day in the life of ExtraMile is always creative and as a team we encourage, support and inspire each other, always playing to one another’s strengths.

Community and what matters

We take our social responsibility seriously, both as a company and individuals within the team. We are big supporters of The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice – Gabrielle, our Managing Director, rowed from Tower Bridge to the Eiffel Tower and climbed Kilimanjaro to fundraise for them! Our team are encouraged to take part in activities with their own chosen charities and, as a company, we aim to support our community in any creative way that we can.

We are also accredited for ISO 14001 environmental policies that minimise our environmental impact – our digital services can help you do the same.
