The TV show Love Island is huge at the moment, and it’s definitely divided the staff here at ExtraMile HQ! Love it or hate it (I’m obsessed!) if you pay close enough attention there are a few things you can learn from the popular reality show.

Branding, not bantering

I think a few of us will admit we’ve searched the Internet to get our hands on those personalised water bottles. Good branding really increases the value of your business. Love Island fans would likely see one of those water bottles and immediately think about the show. It’s important to make your brand instantly recognisable.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket

Put yourself out there. There are so many different ways to get yourself noticed. A sparkly new website, persistent email marketing, sassy search engine optimisation and more. Don't rely on just one way of getting your customers to reach you…even if it’s 100% your type on paper.

You’ve got to graft

We’ve all heard the phrase “work smarter, not harder” but where your business is concerned, there’s just no getting away from hard work on some level. It’s important to work hard on building that positive long-term relationship with your customers. Be consistent and dependable and your customers will love you in return…just don't drop the L word too quickly (cringe).
