The results are in… ExtraMile is officially shortlisted for the Digital Award in the Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards 2017! Pop the Prosecco, stop the press (any excuse for a celebration).

It’s not very often you get to big yourself up, but being selected as an award finalist seems like a pretty good opportunity to do just that. Here’s a couple of reasons why we’re proud to be recognised as Digital gurus…

Innovation, innovation, innovation
It’s a bit of a buzzword but it’s at the very heart of what we do. Not only do we have allotted time in our weekly schedules for research but our designers, developers and SEM-ers (Search Engine Marketing - consisting of Search Engine Optimisation and Pay Per Click Advertising) are constantly on top of trends within their sectors.

Our team of developers (or ‘Dev Squad’ as they’ve affectionately termed themselves) are true tech nerds. For them, a weekend well spent is at JoomlaDay UK seeking official Joomla! Certification, and you’ll struggle to find a pair of designers more innately passionate about pushing design boundaries than ours. Always early adopters to new trends, the latest design programme to get them hot under the collar is Sketch (read more about it here), and since Shannon, our Creative Manager joined the team, the design process has been shaken up and challenged at every possible stage.

When it comes to multilingual SEO, no one does it like us… Still a relatively unrivalled skill in the area, our SEM team work closely with translators to ensure search terms are localised and the results speak for themselves. One client reported a 254% increase in site traffic within the first 12 months of a dedicated multilingual SEO campaign.

Digital campaigns that deliver the goods…
We know it’s not all about looking good, the websites we create are marketing vessels and have to perform alongside looking pretty.

Recently, we worked closely with a client to design a microsite that would drive sign ups for a free trial of their latest product launch. We focused on a slick user experience, mobile-first design to suit their demographic and clear calls to action. This was followed up with targeted PPC and a 6 month SEO campaign to draw both short and long-term site traffic.

Within one month, several keywords were ranking 1st on search engine results pages and our client reported that the initial free sample period saw almost all of their available products run out in under 3 months.

So wish us luck!
We are really thrilled to have been shortlisted in this category. Digital is our world and we like to think we’re pretty good at all things web related. (If you want to know more, just get in touch with our Sales Manager James, he likes to talk).

We’ll find out if we’re the lucky winners at the big awards on the 6th July, keep your fingers crossed for us!
