It's not just subject lines that can make a difference to the success of an email.

You might want to try two different templates that:
Provide the same content in two different formats
Swap in different articles
Have different images for the same article
Test different content in the same article
Test different calls to action (Buy now, Find out more, Get the details, etc)
In this way, you can see what effect the different creatives have on two similar audiences and, thereby, learn what works best.
